Brendan Staunton was front man of Dubh Chapter, whose album, ‘Silence, Cunning & Exile’ (produced by Steve Hillage) remains a cult classic. He also sang the haunting vocal on indie dance single ‘Weird Gear’ by Ultramarine. In 2017, he sang on the Cross & Quinn album, ‘Cold Sky Blue’ with players from King Crimson, Tiny Magnetic Pets and Air.
Now he’s back with his first album of new material in over 20 years.
‘Last Of The Light’ mixes and matches all his influences down the decades: think Todd Rundgren fronting the Comsat Angels… Ben Watt reclaiming a lost Dylan melody… or Scott Walker doing a trip-hop show tune.
